I never miss an oppurtunity to paint an animal or bird as long as it keeps still long enough. This little lizard must have fallen into the swimming pool where my husband found it floating he knew I been trying to paint them for a long time but could never get near enough. This post mortem specimen gave me a chance to study the reptile closely and to see how perfectly the scales all link together so I painted it from every angle.
