"Tufty"

This is an excellent portfolio, can't believe you haven't been painting long. Tufty is beautiful, you've certainly captured the look of love in her eyes. What medium are these paintings in, this one looks like pastel?

Yes it is pastel, thankyou for such a kind comment, greyhounds are the most gentle, loving dogs and thats what i was hoping to capture.

Ah now I know where you learned your technique with pastels. I just completed one of Vivien's courses and saw this picture on her students' pages. The technique is unmistakeable.

I have only just joined the gallery and I think this is just wonderful. I am deeply involved with greyhound rescue in Shropshire and in looking for homes we are constantly trying to promote the gentleness of the breed. This painting captures everything about them. Beautiful.
