Venice is probably the most painted city in the world. Most artists will paint the Rialto Bridge and other most recognised landmarks. Though these places are beautiful, I wanted something a little different. By exploring many of Venice's quieter areas, we come to see how the Venetians are living, and this is what I wanted to portray, away from the main tourist areas. The title of this painting says it all, there are 409 bridges in Venice.
