Lino reduction print. 20X14cm. Edition of 9. Dale Head is a fell at the head (not surprisingly given the name) of the Lake District valley of Newlands and the print is based on a telephoto image taken from the summit of the lesser height of Swinside nearly 5 miles (8km) north at the other end of the valley. Though not the north face of the Eiger it is a steep challenge but we have walked up to the summit through the old copper mines, threading a way past crags and screes. A good fell walk
