Rocky mountain side by Anthony Stubbs
Somewhat different to recent submissions, this is based with considerable licence on one of my fuzzy photos from over forty years ago. Attempting to convey a sense of stark bleakness, which from memory matched my feelings at the time. On an mdf board ( 40cm x 30cm) primed with several coats of gesso, this is a charcoal drawing, using charcoal powder, willow charcoal and charcoal pencil, aided by a putty and electric erasers and a knife blade
