Nicely witty painting. It that the camera flash or did you paint that light in? If it is only the camera flash I think it would be a stroke of genius to include it in the painting as it becomes such a focus. Simple and very striking.

Thanks for the comments Thea,yes the light you see on the ferrule is painted on.I got the idea from when i was taking a photograph of the paint brush i wanted to paint and the image from the camera showed this very bright flash off the ferrule.Applied the light to the painting at the finish,dabbing it on with a short old brush .I never seem happy with any of my paintings ,theres always something i wish i did or looked different.In this painting its the wooden handle of the brush,to me it looks to animated.Sorry ,i do go on!!
