My only words of advice would be - keep doing what you're doing; because all you need is practice, more paintings under your belt. Some people will try to tell you that oil painting is easier than watercolour and acrylic is easier than both. I've tried all of them, and they're equally difficult, just in different ways .. So keep drawing, which is the basis of all painting, buy the best materials you can afford, be self-critical but don't beat yourself up, and experiment with surfaces until you find the one you're happiest with - in my case, it's stretched canvas, the most expensive... would be, wouldn't it?
