Your paintings are super Tony. Very colourful. Do you use a palette knife for this one ?

Hello Anne, Thank you for your kind comments. Whilst there is god texture to show the marks I was wanting to use to depict the movement of the water, it was all done with a brush in this instance. The paint was used with very little water and applied generously. PLease enjoy

Thanks for the feedback. I was trying to work out how you managed to get all the colours in, especially the foreground, and still keep them fresh,, if that makes sense. .

Superb feeling of movement, you must work exceptionally fast... my experiences with acrylics outdoors are of instant drying on the canvas. You seem to have the handle of them very well, beautiful colours well combined.

Hi Anne, Very very rarely mix colours on pallet prior to painting. Often have two or three colours on brush at same time and do not often clean brush whilst painting unless it becomes overladed so as not to be able to make mark I want

Hi Ian, Yes I do work fast, which comes from years of doing it. Also now work with Atelier Interactive Acrylics which gave me as much time as I need (once you get to know techniques of how to use them). Could never do this in summer temperatures with any other acrylic. Favorite saying is 'learn your techniques instinctively and let inspiration be your guide.

Super use of colour in the water

Hi Lesley, The beauty of moving water is that it is full of reflective and sedimentary colours, constantly changing with changing light and tidal conditions. Always fun to paint
