Lovely watercolour technique Thomas, lovely transparency and good feeling of strong winter light. I think you would receive more comments if you upload the images separately, rather than all together.

I'm a retired teacher and now I'm painting watercolours. I'm a self taught painter an prefer the negative watercolouring. That means: Often I paint the negative background around the object (without any masking) , so the object can stay brighter.
