I really like your painting. It has a fresh feeling. The "light against dark", and the way the boat just slips through the water. Those two little glints of light on the water under the stern of the boat are so important.

I'm a retired teacher and now I'm painting watercolours. I'm a self taught painter an prefer the negative watercolouring. That means: Often I paint the negative background around the object (without any masking) , so the object can stay brighter.
