Waiting patiently by Tina Bacon

A lovely painting, great flesh tones too

A very sensitive, beautiful, painting Tina.

You have certainly captured that wonderful moment for an expectant mother . Well done.

I've never wanted to be a woman - today's headline - and here's one of the reasons: it can be bad enough carting this body around: to have another inside me, waiting for its expulsion into a cold and cruel world, is a great deal more than I think I could bear. How any woman emerges from it without a lingering hatred for the man who inflicted this state upon her, and then airily let her get on with the consequences, is a genuine puzzle. But your gentle painting with its delicate colouring, conveys the other side of pregnancy: the rewarding bit, rather than all the mess and pain (hope I haven't put anyone off, but to be honest: why do you do it?).
