My friend is an English teacher in Taiwan, and this is his dog Willy. As I had no experience of drawing animals I went the whole hog and employed a grid to get everything correctly placed and proportioned. It worked well I think, but I won't use it every time as it's a rather laborious method and not as much fun as freehand.

Self taught artist specialising in portraits, mostly with various forms of pencil but particularly in graphite. Tim hails from Ipswich in the rural South East of England, and still lives nearby, out in the pleasant rolling hills of "Constable Country".
