There is so much to admire about this portrait. The eyes are beautifully painted and the hair is also especially good. I think the proportions of the face are spot on and it is a lovely portrait. I attempt to do portraits in watercolour, so I understand what you say about the satisfaction of doing them in this medium. I think the transparency of the paint and the fluidity of it gives a very special glow that other mediums don't offer. However, it is the trickiest medium to pull off a portrait in - don't know if you agree.
