A plein air water colour of the view immediately outside our apartment. There are renovations going on to the old lighthouse which at the moment has scaffolding all over it. This is the only lighthouse on the Maltese islands, much in need of a lot of TLC [I could get very political and cynical but I'll refrain. and behave myself!] I have painted this for a very dear POL friend, and it will be winging its way across to him asap! My colours had to be carefully chosen as our weather here is still very poor, with red dust in the atmosphere from the Sahara. We had a thunder storm overnight, we call it blood rain. You can imagine how difficult it is to see in a red atmosphere!!
