Great figure and a wonderfully understated background, that is delightfully realistic. I wasn't sure about the far wheel. Is the wheel visible? Are the reins obscuring the wheel? I'm only asking because the wheel seems to malaligned, and I would have expected to see some of it next to the man's right shoulder. Minor point, though. Brian

Great character in this scene. The man and the donkey look as if they need a cool drink....you probably needed one painting this in plein air too...must be hot there!
