Lovely brushwork in this Thalia, I love the dark foreground

Nice work, Thalia. Great sky, love the lush greens of the near bye hills, and the way you've painted the far distance.

Excellent stuff Thalia couldn’t have been easy with a cold wind. Really good to see the in-situ shot which puts it into context.

Lovely portrayed scene Thalia great greens. Like to see your setup too.

Lovely rich colours Thalia and love the dark tones in the foreground.

Lovely scene Thalia, beautiful colours.

I looked at these the wrong way round. I like the light in the sky and the way it's catching the bushes. A real sense of distance too.

Love your palette Thalia and those gorgeous patches of luminosity. Your very courageous to brave such elements.

I really like this Thalia - I enjoyed seeing the view and the earlier stage too - you do live in a beautiful place!

Thank you for that kind comment Justin and Lewis. Thanks, Barry, was a bigger canvas than I usually take and a different easel as it had a wider span to counteract the wind! Thanks Carole...the dreaded greens! I tnd to use Viridian let down with Bunt Sienna or Raw Umber..bit of both here. Thanks Tessa, the dark foreground was adjusted from the underpainting. Thank you Lesley Marjorie Carole and Margaret, you're really kind, Carole my husband says I'm not courageous, just stupid and very stubborn!!!

Beautiful painting Thalia, the rich greens are wonderful.

What a beautiful view you have Thalia, the painting is great too!!

Beautiful painting with great atmosphere and colours, Thalia.

Superb Thalia!

Gorgeous colours touched with light Thalia. Indeed you do deserve a medal for producing such a beauty in the conditions you describe.

A fabulous oil painting Thalia - you are expert at light contrasts - very difficult in oil painting

Painted over an old painting on canvas, hanging on to it for dear life in the cold wind. I had to stop I was so cold in the shade. Loved the way the sun was catching all the bamboo fronds. This is 10m away from our flat, the rock on the left bottom corner is holding up the wall outside the flat! Plein air painters deserve a meddle!
