Just seen it on the forum Tessa, it's a lovely interpretation of Sylvia's photo, well done 😀

Tessa - What a Great Job! OK, You win!

I think both you and Skylar win. Thy are both glorious brilliant interpretations...

Thank you Linda. Skylar and Sylvia, thanks also. I’m happy with a draw! 👍

Beautiful, Tessa, I cannot find this 'forum' you all talk about....not good with computers, so can't comment on interpretation, but it's gorgeous. Flower colours are often tricky, to put it mildly!

Thank you Thalia. If you go to where it says menu (above), click on that, then on art community and then Forum. It also shows you where to register so that you can join in. Give it a go. Your input would be very welcome . Also when you find the forum go to “latest” to get the current discussions.

Tessa you’ve done a wonderful interpretation of Sylvia’s image. I like the way you have included more of the background, works really well.

Oh it's gorgeous Tessa, the flowers are spot on with the colour. I like the light too, excellent painting🎨

Just love those gradations of purple and the luminous light on the water and hills Tessa. Smashing.

Thank you all for your generous comments, Maureen, Dennis, Fiona, Margaret and Carole. Glad you like it. I wasn’t sure quite how to do the bluebells as obviously can’t do them all but just a suggestion and the right colour (with help from Sylvia) and the brain fills in the detail, well that’s the idea!

Beautiful

Glorious painting Tessa, I will have a go at Sylvia’s photo for the forum challenge but the bar is set very high.

Thank you Rachel and John. Go on John, give it a go! We’re not competitive, are we???!

It’s lovely and you caught those at times tricky shadows beautifully

Many thanks Dermot, much appreciated!

12x10” oil on board, from a photo put on the Forum recently. I’ve cropped the photo slightly to make more of the distance and the loch. The bluebells are a tricky colour but it was an enjoyable scene to paint. Hope I’ve done it justice!

About the Artist

Although I did a year's Foundation Course at art college after leaving school, I hadn’t painted much in the interim, except for a few attempts here and…
