The Little Man!

It’s beautifully painted Tessa , you should be very pleased with the outcome.

Thanks Dixie, that was quick! I usually steer clear of painting little people as so difficult.

Lovely to see a painting of yours at last, Tessa! And how time flies! I remember when you were waiting for him…this is lovely and loose, I love the brushstrokes and the colours are so harmonious together. I’m sure all palettes are tricky at first but the skin tone looks just right.

Thank you Marjorie, and yes time does fly even with lockdowns! Hopefully you’ll see more now I’ve kicked into action. 😂

Good grief Tessa hasn’t he grown! He is quite ‘the wee man’ now. A lovely portrait, loosely portrayed and very charming.

Lovely work using the Zorn palette Tessa. Your son looks like a very lively soul. Have often thought about using it but have never done so.

Smashing work Tessa and what a happy little boy.

Many thanks Russell, Fiona and Carole for your encouragement. Carole- grandson not son! Couldn’t cope with that age all the time! You should try the Zorn. I have used it before but many years ago so it was like coming to in anew.

Lovely work, bags of character in his young face, and the zorn palette too! Marvelous.

Thanks Lewis. He is a little character!

Ah, how wonderful. You must be very pleased.

Super portrait, love Zorn's limited palette!

What a lovely portrait Tessa, one to treasure .

Well done you (I find the Zorn palette not the easiest either), what a cute little boy too

Thanks so much for your kind comments Jacqueline, Thalia, Sylvia and Heather. I’m still not convinced that I’ve got him quite right but reasonably happy !

A small oil painting of my grandson now 18 months, using the Zorn palette which I found pretty tricky!
