A lovely, sunny watercolour Terry, perfect on this rather dull Bank Holiday Monday. The strongly painted buildings and tree contrast well with pale clouds, in that lively sky, very well done.

Nicely done Terry

Yes - I do like this Terry - what mix did you use for the orange/red roofs?

Thank you for your comments. Michael, I think (but I'm not sure!) that for the roofs I used a mixture of raw sienna and cadmium red and then, when it was dry, a light glaze of cobalt to tone it down a bit. I've been trying to brighten up my pictures and find a change from over-green landscapes but I find myself slipping back into old ways which include "modifying" washes with colours left in my palette from the last time I used it! I think my laziness may be age-related! Cheers, Terry.

Thanks Terry - might give it a go. I tend to use mixtures of light red, burnt sienna and raw sienna toned down a tad by adding a minute blob of ultramarine to the wash . For tiled roofs - cobalt and burnt sienna.
