Wow! Smashing work Teddi

I love your style - very expressive

Very effective Teddi! Lovely rolling hills.

Very effective, Teddi. Not really sure how Chine Colle works but it produces stunning effects in your hands.

The chine colle isn't especially difficult, just messy and a bit unpredictable. Happy to share 'how to' if anyone's interested.

I was using tissue (not the Kleenex sort!) to clean up after printing and realised that the random colours sometimes worked as abstract designs in their own right. So I started experimenting and gradually produced quite a few multi-coloured sheets. • Crumpling / pleating the tissue before inking produces interesting effects - a bit like batik. • If you make collagraph prints, run the inked plate, covered with tissue, through the press a few times after running off the 'proper' prints • Ordinary wrapping tissue or any thin, semi-transparent paper; plain and /or patterned works well, but you can paint / print your own . • Decopatch paper works too, but is expensive. • Tear rather than cut shapes as the edges blend in better. • Add to an existing picture - just a few small bits to add texture. • Sketch an outline and fill in with bits of tissue as you would 'colour in' a picture. • Overlap pieces for more effects if they are translucent. • More opaque tissue or thin handmade paper works well if you want a collaged effect. • Paint, print, draw or stamp under or over the tissue - wet or dry for different effects. • Diluted PVA is the best way of fixing pieces, although a small glue-stick is easier for the fiddly bits. • Paint over the finished picture with the PVA - it will look more like an oil painting! Handmade paper collage [Ackerman] might provide some more ideas. Love to know how you get on, John Teddi

Many thanks for such a detailed description of your method. I'm inspired to give it a go!

I think your work is outstanding. So different. I'm sure you'll do really well. If not, the market is blind!

Love this one ,Teddi and thank you for describing the technique....quite fascinating!!!

This is a mixed media collage, using chine colle as my medium and adding watercolour and ink on top
