Lovely Tao, I like the suggestion of tree bark too.

Very nice work Tao. I'm enjoying my new coloured pencils, I wondered what blending preparation you use? I've tried baby oil and have just had some Zest It which I used on the latest picture.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments Carole

Thank you for your lovely comments Margaret. I use all sorts. it really depends on the painting. With this one I used a very very pale wash of pale green watercolour just to set the shapes which meant whatever pencils marks I put on top of the leaves I wouldn't loose the shapes.if I had to erase anything. With the very dark shading I used a stump stick to pull the colour away from the edge of the leaves.i used an embossing tool for the leaf veins. after that it was about 7 or 8 layers of various greens until I got the results I was happy with. also use those you mentioned with a cotton bud to tease out the shades Hope this helps

A lovely splash of colour against the tree Tao - but please leave the tree where it is!

Adele you are a spoil sport why can't I have the tree in my back garden???? Thank you so much for your lovely comments
