Yes, I too thought you had it! Looks like an amethyst to me!

Looks like one of the amethyst geodes from the Atlas mountains that I found.

Thank you so much Adele for your lovely comments. like all crystals they talk to you, this one had quite a lot to say, including "what do you mean that I am a mountain. how could you not see my beauty. I am from the very depths of the earth." I was not going to argue with so I made into what you see a Jewel LOL I had started with a doodle of mountains but it change overnight!!!!!
