Thanks for your comments Thea. I have a son who lives way up in Scotland and he often has better weather than we do. Outer Hebrides this year was amazing... and no midges.

It's the midges that put me off visiting my homeland these days, I'm afraid. I live close to the Welsh border and we get our fair share of rain and flooding, some years we all nearly grow webbed feet! I do admire your commitment to painting outside - I am sure it is the right way to do it. However, I think I must be a bit too soft and have always preferred the tortured artist in his garret scenario lol! Keep up the good work as you certainly can reproduce these scenes in a lively and atmospheric way.
