How wonderful to have found this gem in the attic.

Love the delicate floaty bits of feather, good markings too.

This is an example of your personal delight beauty...Wonderful, Sylvia, I love this sort of record of feeling! Cheers.

As usual lovely comments , thanks. Not quite in the attic Pat, but in a buried sketch book. The floaty bits were fun to do , the whole thing was wet into wet so I used a cocktail stick to pull them outwards. Ruth you are so right ( nice to hear from you ) some things are so lovely it is a joy to paint them...they just lend themselves. Yet no way can I do those beautifully executed Botanical paintings.

Really effective, love the wispy lower feathers.

Lovely very precise work Sylvia, we can feel the softness of the feather, looks like it could be picked up!
