Tanya's Bum by Sylvia Evans

Tanya's Bum

Hi Sylvia. It would take me more than 30 minutes that's for sure. Nice form, and i like the monochrome effect. And yes, I see what you mean about her drawers!

I didn't notice that line until I read your comment. How about it being a stocking top? Anyway a very adept drawing :)

Superb line - and nice bum!!

How lovely to have happy comments from you. I often feel that people just pass life drawings by. Thank you, apreciated.

Got rather behind, Sylvia, and nearly missed this drawing!! Lovely use of line and I like the sepia. Also she has her bum very firmly placed on the dais, like this very much and the bun (yes bun) is very elegant. Nice pose altogether

Nice one Sylvia. I like this better than Tanya's Tum, however that is also good. Must agree about your earlier comment, not enough response for life drawings. Keep up the good work.

A fun drawing and well composed. I would love to know which medium you used.

Lovely lines and shading Sylvia....and a very nice bottom too!

Thank you for lovely comments and interest. Sx

Both lovely drawings, relaxed and alive.

Two lovely drawings, well done.

Quite a vigorous drawing. have you thought of softening the shading by rubbing it over by finger? Perhaps you could remove the offending line with a putty rubber.

Thanks Barrie for your four comments. Your finger must have slipped.. Also constructive comments , this drawing is in conte crayon which has a wax base , so no matter how hard I rub it it will not shadow or soften...same with rubbing out line on her leg... Plus I rarely use a rubber at all it's not that precious, and if I start to rub out all spontaneity vanishes. I do use a putty rubber to take out highlights in charcoal.

A lovely model we had a couple of weeks ago. This is a very sedate drawing for me, about 30 mins...why oh why I drew that glaringly obvious horrid line on her right leg I do not know. Looks like a pair of drawers.
