A smashing sketch Sylvia

After a vist there myself Sylvia I tried to paint the stones, but just couldn't capture that 'certain' something that you get a feel of there. You haven't had that problem with your atmospheric sketch though.

The stones are super - so solid and ancient looking. Lovely sketch - your sketch book must look amazing now you have filled it with so many wonderful sketches like this.

Awe thank you everyone. Yes this place is a bit special and just asking to be painted.

Captured their imposing weight and height. Excellent sketch. As Thea says, your sketchbook must be a treat to look at.

Beautifully atmospheric, Sylvia. The irregulars heights and shapes of those stones really make a super composition.

Thank you Gudrun and Seok. It is an incredibly special place.<br />

Great sketch Sylvia, love the form given to the stones by the shadows and I think the colours overall are so right for this subject. It is a place I have never been, but some of my friends have sounds and looks great., I am a lover of sketch books and always kept a travel sketch book/diary on my trips in the mountains, have been looking at your others, great, bet it would be like looking at story books.
