I like it Sylvia , it has the rugged look that is often seen in work by some of the Welsh artists like Keffen Williams etc. I hope it the correct spelling of his name.

Thanks Paul....Welsh is hard...it's Kyffin.

Don’t paint over it…simplify the sky? A calm sky would enhance those lovely peaks.

I agree with Marjorie. It will emphasise the peaks and bring out the ruggedness of the path to them. Nice work.

Thanks for suggestion Marjorie and Alan...funnily enough it was a very calm sky initially and I did my usual mad thing and "livened it up ". 🙃

This is really impressive, it works really well.

Just scrolled back on the forum and saw your earlier sky - that’s the one!

There’s lovely for you! But I agree with simplifying the sky as it is competing with the fire and middle ground.

Very interesting perspective of view Sylvia, limited colours complimenting the whole art...

I like it Sylvia, I agree with the comments about the sky.

Great work Sylvia. You’ve really captured the ruggedness of a mountain scene.

Thanks for all your comments . Yes I will have another go at the sky or have a paint over day. I actually climbed/ crawled along this ridge about a million years ago. Twas a bit scary.

This is a magnificent rugged landscape Sylvia…..super!

Thank you Fiona...we can compete with Scotland. 🙃

I do like the foreground but yes I agree the sky could be ‘calmed’ a bit. It does seem to detract from the wild rugged landscape which is great, no need to repaint that! We were in mid Wales a few weeks ago for a family funeral and it was lovely to see real mountains rather than the minor bumps here in the Cotswolds. I do miss proper mountain scenery which you’ve captured here very well.

Thank you Tessa, yes we have some good "hills" here..

Love the rugged look to this, Sylvia, but agree with the others about simplifying the sky.
