A beautiful painting Sylvia...lovely sky and autumnal colours...arn't oils great...think I'll come and live with you I don't take up much space...then I can see the lambs in placky macks and your lovely views

Coo! Very good - you must do more of these, you've brought your free, fresh and open technique across from your watercolour paintings. Lively sky, strong colour, and I do like those birds - none of the dreaded little V's here. A new string to your bow, well done for having a crack at a different medium, it's worked really well.

Thank you Patsy and Robert.... i am sending out suggestions for Christmas....

Lovely colours as Patsy and Robert say. The fact that you had fun doing this shows through. Good job

Love the free and loose look and the watercolour experience shows in this - oils are great fun as you have shown

A vivid tapestry of colour, vibrant and exciting....very bold approach.

I saw this in passing and I thought 'WOW'. I didn't realise it was one of yours! You've found another avenue. Very impressionistic (if that's a word). I like it.

So glad I managed to catch this, please keep going with the oils!! I think Ruth has cleverly described the effect you have created here as a tapestry of colour, I think the foreground is particularly beautiful, love it!

Have to agree with all the above comments, its a great painting style, lovely painting.

Lovely colours as usual, full of movement, looks blustery!

A sweeping kaleidoscope of color rolling beneath abalone heavens. Rich, wild and brazen!

We love the colours in this painting....you must do some more in oils.

Thanks every one. Yes I will continue with oils, I do like the way they can be moved around and if youmake a boobie you can do something about it. Lovely comments..my head gets bigger. S

Tis glorious, Sylvia. Wow, it would be fun to see out of your eyes! Can we do a temporary swop? :)

Love your use of colour and the whole feeling of the painting. Lovely done.

Full of life and colour. Very impressive. I'd be interested to know the size.

Very nice Sylvia. Have you used a knife or a brush or both? I keep meaning to have a go with a knife but never quite manage to let go of the brush! This is a beautiful picture and you are very fortunate to live in such a wonderful place.
