Don't you just love those days!! Great painting as well, I like the spontaneity of this and the rocks have an abstract feel to them.........where abouts were you?

......ooops just saw the title, but where is Bull Bay??

Full of energy , super

Bull bay is on the north coast of Anglesey. Very pretty with an amazing coastal walk , very often you can see a pod of dolphins playing quite close to the shore line. We didnt see them this time. Thank you for your lovely comments. S .

Can smell the salt and seaweed, always think of Van Morrison's song "days like this" when we get good weather, and there have been so many this autumn and isn't it great to be able to go out and paint on days like this, lovely sketch

The colours are so rich & vibrant in this painting it must have been a pleasure to paint it. Well done

Super sketch Blue, great colours. Like your personal at the end too :-)

This is my favourite. Great colourways and I agree - almost abstract in its feel.

Beautiful watercolour Sylvia. I love the execution of the rocks. Colours and texture are great.

Fine painting how did you put the white veins in ? James

Thank you one and all.. aint painting great, the greatest fun painting it.. then all the lovely comment.s

Have only just caught this , it's lovely, lovely tonal contrasts. It takes me back to the war years when my uncle was an optical technician on the Flying Boats which were made I think at Beaumaris. . I spent many school holiday weeks with my aunt and uncle on Anglesey at Bishop's Palace, a large, fascinating old house which had been taken over by the Ministry to house the technicians working on these boats. Wonderful hols, despite the shoals of jellyfish! Owwww...they packed a sting or two! And the gorgeous 'popping' seaweed....I loved it, so am delighted to find your lovely painting Do you know whether the house I refer to is still there or not? Forgive me for chattering on !! it's a habit of mine.

Sylvia...Don't know what happened here but my comment seems to have disappeared..it'll be that jellyfish again, no doubt. Thanks for looking up Bishop's Palace...never thought of using Google, myself. sad to know it has gone, but..that's life, I suppose. Lucky you...Anglesey is a couple of hours journey from here for me. That green you have on your rock is exactly the colour I remember from so long ago.

Sylvia...Thank you for looking up Bishops Palace on Google...I didn't even think of that. Sad to know it has gone, though. I knew Benlwch (?) Bay too, I think that is on the same North coast....Will follow your lead and look it up....

I didn't see this when you first posted it....just took a look at your gallery. Fabulous watercolour.

wow i love the moutains.............love the white lines and the mix of greens............
