Lovely gentle painting Syd.

Lovely watercolour Syd, the texture on the paper adds a lot too, especially to the cottages.

Yes, I like the rough paper also Syd, it gives the work an interesting texture which I always like to see, a good painting .

At first glance this was an oil to me Syd. Captured the building and the trees very well.

I also like a bit of rough - well painted Syd.

Peaceful, Syd. I like the lack of detail here, emphasising the quietness.

You have used the texture of the paper to good effect here, Syd. I like the dry brushwork in the fore ground. and the shadow in the middle distance gives this painting a lovely feel of distance. Nice work.

Thank you Sylvia and Carole for your lovely comments. Sylvia , you would have to use the pavement outside the cottages to escape the traffic. Carole dont tell anybody but lately I have been painting the trees etc. with the three greens as used by Terry harrison . Are you both shocked ?
