Yes, there are many Seago paintings from which this might have been adapted - he was very fond of gates and fence posts as compositional devices - and they do work well in the flat Norfolk landscape with its big skies.

Picture is lovely, and the skies in Norfolk are something else, aren't they. Love the boat in the picture, and I remember seeing that sort of thing myself - went to UEA in Norwich - quite a surprising sight!

After Edward Seago. The first of the paintings I did following my course. I took it from a Seago painting, but instead of cows I put in yachts as these are often seen on the Broads.
