Hope
A painting about fragility, light, hope, support, love and grief. This time last year my dear friends 18 month old daughter died of sepsis only 10 days after her baby sister had been born. It was so shocking. I spent the following week painting this jar of snowdrops as they symbolised so much for me, for their family. This week I added in the girls into the frame which had been positioned as part of the still life but there wasn't a picture in it. I will be giving the painting to the little girls parents. They are an incredible couple with so much faith and strength in the face of huge loss. I am so amazed by them
