Animal 's do have an aggravating habit of moving, even so you have caught " cat shape " very well. You could always add lights and darks and create a light source ! .

Thanks for the advice Sylvia, I will pluck up the courage and try creating a light source next time. The shadows in the animal form and hair seem to change even as they breathe and I have found photos distort him, probably because of trying to take the photos at such awkward angles. I will persevere though.
