Hi Peter, Michael, Glennis and Fiona, thank you for your kind words. It was a weird feeling turning upside down how you paint in watercolour and swapping for acrylics. I used too much paint, I had to remix a couple of times to get the feel for acrylics and the colours I wanted, I had read that the paints dry quickly so I wet the paper first and used some of the gel that helps the paints from drying out. I now have real urge to try oils as well, but don't like smell of the paints much, but will try some of the water soluble type. Thanks again, really nice to have some responses.
