No, I do not think there is too much white there. It looks like it the water is sparkling a bit more there and so it makes sense to me.

Just checking your gallery again and found your question. I think the light in the left hand corner a good balance for the darker foliage.

this was a tough work as it meant painting in layers and over time so that the oil paint could dry. The LP take through was not very helpful in terms of how to progress the work. Critical parts of the explanation seem to be missing; but i think in the end, it seems to have come out okay, maybe with a few errors.
