this is an oil on canvas, 16" x 20". its a scene near Alton, Hampshire. I was visiting the area staying with my one of my closest friends, and we saw this scene not far from his home. i loved the quiet rural scene. so very English. . A quick photo resulted many months later in this painting which i turned later into a Christmas & New Year card 2007 - much to the surprise of all my friends who had no clue of my artistic abilities. For me, it was a trial run to find out their views on my work in case i fancied holding an exhibition later in 2008.
