An oasis in the Draa Valley, Zagora, Morocco

Another good one! Love paintings which use silhouettes.

A lovely scene Sunil. What medium did you use?

Looks fantastic, would love to see this place Sunil. A lovely warm painting, in fact hot!

Thank you, David and both Carole's. This is an oil painting on a re-used canvas. You can read my blog "Down in the Valley of the Draa and the Moroccan sub-Saharan desert" in my December 2014 travel blog...www.multitaskerme.blogspot.com If you ever get the chance to visit. Zagora is just beautiful.

Brilliant, l love the warmth of the colours, and together with the silhouetted scene you've painted a great picture.

Thank you David for your comments. Really appreciated. I was a bit concerned originally as I was re-using an old canvas and also the sky seem rather funny in that curved shape but it seems to work out quite well in the end.

In the bleak and arid mountainous desert area around Zagora, in Morocco, you come across the Draa Valley which is full of coconut palm trees. It is an amazing sight as you drive through, mile after mile of date palms in the Valley. My painting, oils on canvas, is representational of a view in the valley. The early mornings and late evenings are awesome in their beauty.
