My first work in monochrome. This is based on a photograph of the flowers and I found the seedhead flowers to be really expressive and dramatic. I just had to try and replicate those many small seeds coming out of the flower. This is my third effort and I think I have succeeded to some extent. This is a small work. Water colour on 200 gsm paper. Comments on improvement are welcome. In the iPad photograph, there appears to be black patches in the background but when framed, this will not be visible.
