One of my courses is 'Discovering colour' in which the students learn about careful placing of one colour next to another to create vitality. this combined with technique can be very successful

I paint iris every year. this yellow iris is a new colour to my collection so I was delighted when it arranged itself in a painterly manner and with a bluish background it was made more imposing.
