Yes it’s the proverbial nightmare getting these colours right, I’m presuming that you’re taking them outside in a flat light! I have a job with phthalo green, I often use it in mixes for my Spanish scenes but it won’t pick up on my camera. Anyway, great subject Peter, with some nice brushwork and colour variations on the plains.

Taken outside in flat light so as good as I can manage. Happy to live with the photo problems while trying to manage them, worse things happen at sea! Thanks for the kind comments.

26"x18" oil on board. Scene from North York moors. Disappointed with colour reproduction in photo as distant moor comes out more blue than the painting but that is the vagaries of photography.
