Hoobie by Deborah Clarke

this has taken some time! it was a great easy one to draw but getting the colouring right and the shadows has been a nightmare. I feel it was a mix of a lot of things but confidence eluded me at one point and I had to walk away. that's when I did the coloured squirrel and that made me worse. doing the graphite squirrel has given me the drive to finish this piece and with a certain amount of dignity intact, so I am on the case again.

I would think many of us will empathize with your comment - sometimes, just walking away from a piece is the best thing you can do, whatever medium you're working in. Like your dog!

Another great doggie! Your dignity is definitely intact - Hoobie has great dignity too!

Yes, I can empathize as well Deborah...I have a hard time having patience with 'the process'....I guess it's a learning thing? Anyway, great detail on the dog...
