Oil on Canvas board 8x8ins Another painting for an article in progress for Leisure Painter magazine. It's about 30 strategies to get you painting, one of which is, if you cant think of anything to paint, paint anything. Take some old boxes, paint them and arrange them like a still life to explore different lighting conditions and compositions. Any painting you make is an opportunity to learn about lighting, value, colour and edges etc. The subject can just be the vehicle for the paint.
