Yet another wonderfully done still life so good!:)Linda

Lovely brush strokes Steve. I'm picking up my oils again after a long break so I'll be studying your still lifes (lives?!! ) closely hoping to pick up some tips.

I defer to Steve, but I think it's probably still lifes.... in that one's not painting lives. But enough of this pedantry! Very thin paint, yet you still have the colour and form. Met the artist Victor Voysey around 30 years ago: a great apostle of very thin paint - didn't know him well so could be wrong, but I think he was suspicious of impasto.

Cheers Linda, Thanks Val, All the best, Steve.

Cheers Robert, I didn't consciously think about using thin paint, although now you mention it. I use Michael Harding paints and a little seems to stretches for miles without losing its strength, so I suppose it's worth the extra few bob. All the best, Steve.

Great still life in oil, Steve, just something about oils, they sing out from the page and you have them full justice here

Thanks Ros, All the best, Steve.

Another fantastic fruit painting.

Cheers Carole, All the best, Steve.

Lovely light in this painting. Wonderful apples - I feel I could reach in a take a bite!!

Thanks Judith and Helen, All the best, Steve.
