Ah, just realised it must be a digital painting because of the black and white medium unless you did 2?

Hi Heather, no the colour one is original then turned it into black and white afterwards

Interesting Steve, what a shame all your hard work in colour was lost!

I think its more evocative of the era in monochrome, but the original coloured painting is excellent!

How strange. I would nave painted the monochrome first and put glazes over after (Grisaille method). It makes painting a lot easier. spend a lot less time mixing paint and a lot easier to get the tonal values right.
