I prefer this one, it definitely has more lift off the page, very good.

Definitely this one. I don't know why, but this version seems to highlight the expressions on the subjects' faces much better.

Thanks for your very kind comments. I've always taken photos using my phone camera and they look fine but are then often washed out when I view them on my PC. I don't know why but I then have to tweak them. I tried a proper camera for the first submission of this painting which turned out to be a disaster. I'll have to investigate this problem further. I think it is probably software on the PC
