Dusk at Robin Hood's Bay by Stephen Mason
I stood at this spot after a long ramble up the North Yorkshire coast. I was impressed by the buildings and thought that I had to have a go at painting it. This view is a favourite of artists and I wanted something a little different. I took advantage of the tide being out leaving a large pool catching the reflection of the pub. Although it was a sunny mid-day when I was there, I tried to create a different mood as if it was dusk and with lights coming on in the pub and some houses.
