I am very impressed with your painting in oil on Colorfix. The light and transparency you have achieved with the media on this paper is smashing. The T-shirt and the jeans are perfect. How did you find the tooth of the paper with oil? Did you work in the way you would on canvas? Did you use Alkyd oil? Sorry about all the questions.

Good painting, don't ask me why but it made me think of Prince Harry when I looked at it. Ditto to all the questions Jeannette asked.

I'm impressed with the angle at which you chose to paint your subject. Not easy from that angle but you have done it very well. Jx

i really liked how the oil interacted on the colourfix surface.... for this one i used standard W&N oils with Liquin and sansodor as medium and thinner respectively... when using the oil pretty thin like this it is dry pretty fast just like using Alkyds which i also love to use... i have seen this image on a different monitor and i'm shocked at the difference.... the painting is predominantly subdued pinkish greys, however on some monitors it appears very pink/orange indeed.....i guess it is just hard adjusting images for online viewing as they can be so different depending on the colour balance of the viewers monitor
