Thanks Heather. These last two that I've posted are the first ones I have completed in all charcoal. I usually use some graphite for the finer detail. I have used several different types of charcoal; compressed, block, tinted and traditional and the paper is always Clairefontaine Maya, as in this one, or Clairefontaine, Paint On, Multi-technique paper. As for myself, I have always loved art, mainly drawing but after leaving school with a CSE in Art, I pretty much just doodled and sketched in my spare time. I took up photography when I was unable to work any more due to health problems and also began to concentrate more on my art. Now I am retired and I spend most of my time drawing.
