Hephaestus at the Gorge

wow the sky! :-) the sky is my favourite part of this painting, so dramatic and full of atmosphere :-)

You've let yourself go good and proper with this one - and it works from the title to the execution: you should have no trouble selling it, if you can let it go. Not sure I could!

Mind you, that's Forge rather than Gorge, is it? Given the site, it could just as easily be Gorge.... but Forge is more in keeping with Hephaestus........

Agreeing with all of the above, lovely painting of the bridge and making it that shade of blue is a perfect foil to the marvellous full of action sky

Superb atmosphere and perspective, Stephen.

As you already know Stephen, I love it!

An original acrylic on canvas 40cm x 40cm. I always knew that one day i would paint Ironbridge but wanted it to be something a little different. Hope I've succeeded here. Hephaestus was the Greek God of blacksmiths, craftsmen, artisans, fire and volcanoes. Ironbridge is a World Heritage Site and only 2 miles from my home.
