Love the way the eye is led up to the windmill, and the sky is great, Stephen, with those dark clouds looming.

Great painting Stephen, as Jane says the yellow takes the eye to the windmill and the dark cloud is well placed to show up the white top of the mill, well thought out.

It doesn't need a figure. It's a good composition with lots to look at and a figure would be a distraction. It's a wonderful, well balanced painting!

Lovely composition, once you have appreciated the main subject the eye is drawn around the rest of the painting. Good feeling of distance.

This has impact and, as has been said, doesn't need a figure.

I love how the headland of wild flowers leads you up to the windmill and how the darkness of the sky lights up the sails. Great painting Stephen.
